Doula Services

With the Doulas of Bavaria, you receive a full scope of services, resources, and support options. We work hard and strive to educate and empower women as they navigate through this exciting period of life. It is our goal to support you in this incredible journey, and empower you and your partners to feel comfortable making decisions regarding your labor and delivery.

Includes: Free Consultations with our Doulas, 2 Prenatal Visits, On-Call Birth Support from 38 weeks, 1 Postpartum Visit, Free Group Childbirth Education Class, and more.

Group Childbirth Education Classes - Currently Virtual

This one-day course goes in-depth across a variety of topics. You can expect topics going over the last six weeks or pregnancy, labor signs and progression, and what to expect from the hospital during labor and beyond. You will also receive brief information on comfort measures, immediate postpartum care, and breastfeeding your baby. This course is a wonderful to meet other expecting families while covering important topics in your pregnancy and labor.

Includes: 8 Hours of Curriculum, Light Snacks, Located at a Beautiful Space just minutes from the Vilseck (Rose Barracks) Main Gate. Offered on a Monthly Basis

In-Home Childbirth Education Classes

This childbirth education class covers the same topics as you see above in our group childbirth education class description, however you will receive a more individual approach. This class is completed from the comfort of your own home, so you can ask more in-depth questions about your own journey.

Virtual Doula Support

Offering you support throughout your pregnancy or postpartum journey via call, text, or web chat. This service can be used on an hourly basis or as a longer term relationship. You deserve to have your questions answered with evidence- based care and knowledge.

Bereavement Support

Birth occurs in any trimester, sometimes loss in pregnancy happens. You do not have to be alone in this experience and you can receive professional support from our Certified Birth & Bereavement Doulas who will guide you through the journey of grief and loss and help you remember your baby’s life - because their life matters. Their birth story matters too.

Birth Planning Session

Creating a birth story is an incredible way of getting to know oneself and her own wishes. Birth may not always happen exactly how we envision, but by creating a plan and educating yourself on all the potential decisions you may encounter during a birth scenario - vaginal, water, caesearan, etc. You have options. You have a voice. And we will also be able to help translate this birth plan to German as well, so your wishes are understood by your entire care time.

Postpartum Services

Postpartum support is an essential part of healing in the fourth trimester. We offer different options based on you and your family’s unique needs in the fourth trimester.
This service is often paired with our postpartum meal-prep services and lactation support treats.

Breast Pump Consultations - Free

Learn about a variety of breast pump options, all of which are covered under your TriCare insurance. You will be able to find the right pump for your lifestyle — whether you’re an Active Duty Soldier, returning to work, or pumping from home, or somewhere in between.

 

Meal Prep Services and Lactation Treats - Price Varies

From lactation cookies and brownies to full, healthy and delicious meals. You will be well taken care of in your pregnancy and especially your postpartum chapter of your journey. These wholesome meals will support you internally, because food is the best medicine.

 

Aromatherapy - $30

Aromatherapy is the art and science of using naturally extracted aromatic essences (essential oils) from plants to balance and harmonize the body, mind, and spirit every day or during stressful experiences. Labor and delivery can certainly fall into that latter category, and research has shown that some fragrances can have a calming effect during childbirth and even reduce the perception of pain.

 

Kinesiology Tape in Pregnancy - $30

Kinesiology tape is a non-invasive, safe, and convenient alternative to managing discomfort and can easily be incorporated into your pregnancy massage practice. Kinesiology tape can be worn in the shower and some brands can last up to five days. Kinesiology tape works by stimulating the nervous system through the skin.

 

Virtual Comfort Measures Course - $50

Extensive virtual course to learn comfort techniques for late pregnancy and labor to cope with contractions. It is encouraged that your partner or support person also attend or take part in the course to also learn these techniques.

Comfort Therapy Options - $30-$50

Acupressure, TENS Therapy, and other Comfort Measures to help assist you in pain relief during pregnancy and labor without the use of medical procedures or interventions.

 

Placenta Encapsulation - $200

The purpose of placentophagy by the birth parent is to reintroduce the beneficial vitamins, minerals, hormones, proteins, and other nutrients to their body following labor and birth of their child. This is thought to help restore a more balanced body function, prevent “baby blues” and the more serious postpartum depression, increase milk production, shorten healing time, increase energy levels, and provide an over-all feeling of wellness to aid in the transition between pregnancy and the early postpartum period.
