Mission and Core Values
Doulas of Bavaria was founded in 2014 to bring together a collective of doulas with a shared passion and love for serving mothers and to positively impact the Grafenwoehr-Vilseck-Hohenfels communities. We strive to inspire and empower families on their journey. We support families by providing professionally trained doulas with the highest levels of professionalism, compassion, and love.
Our mission is to make a positive difference in the lives of the women* we serve through support in their pregnancy and birth journey, providing a sense of belonging through community outreach, and educating families with evidence-based childbirth education classes.
Every woman’s journey is unique and her own. We strive to honor that journey and support you every step of the way, no matter what path you walk.
*Doulas of Bavaria uses the term ‘women’ in our mission and throughout our values work. We define women as women-identified, femme-presenting, two-spirited, genderqueer, trans-inclusive, gender-non-conforming, androgynous, agender, intersex, bigender, gender questioning, gender fluid, butch, non-binary, queer positive or any person that would like to be included in this definition

I took the class at 35 weeks pregnant just when the anxiety of labor was getting pretty heavy. I showed up feeling scared about labor and only able to think about the negative parts.

“I cannot describe the emotional healing I received from my last birthing. I never had a doula before and this was by far the best experience I ever had… When I finally decided to head to the hospital she was there to meet us. When I had to talk with the doctors/midwives she was there helping every step of the way. I felt calm, relaxed and knew I had people fighting for what I wanted. The birth I didn’t have before. Having your spouse there next to you is amazing. Having family there to sport you isn’t always possible. Having someone who can connect to you on the same level is like gaining a sister you never had. It was truly an amazing experience, especially when you are having a child in a different country.

“I've had and amazing experience with the Doulas of Bavaria!
My first experience was with Jasmin.
I contacted Jasmin the day I gave birth asking if she was able to provide a placenta encapsulation service. She contacted us back very quickly (even with being at a class that day) and she coordinated with us for pickup. She finished the encapsulations and delivered them to our home with a placenta print and the cord dried into a heart. I have a container full and truly have been seeing the benefits.
My second experience was with Kim at 7 Blessings.
Kim was looking for donor milk to practice making breast milk soap with. I offered and gave her 6oz of my milk. Within a week I was given over 20 beautifully made soap bars! They are made wonderfully and my whole family has enjoyed using them.”
